Travelling as much as I do, it’s no surprise that I have a bit of a thing for luggage. I’ve trialled and tested so many backpacks and suitcases over the years, but one thing I’ve struggled to find is a really good cabin backpack. Enter the Arcido backpack range – specifically designed to fit airline hand-luggage restrictions, but also large enough to work as a weekend bag.
I’ve been trying out the Arcido Saxon backpack – a 23L cabin backpack which is PERFECT for short breaks, and fits a surprising amount of stuff. If you need to pack a bit more, there are also a couple of 35L backpacks in the range which still fit the hand luggage restrictions. They’ll even fit in the overhead lockers!

Arcido Saxon Review
My Arcido backpack of choice was the Saxon. At 23L, it’s a little smaller than the rest of the range. But it’s big enough to pack a few outfits, some toiletries, my laptop, and a pair of shoes – so it’s perfect for short breaks. If you need to pack more, or you have a few bulky items for a cold-weather trip, the 35L options might be a bit better. The Sazon works best as a daypack – or as a carry-on bag when you also have hold-luggage – but it definitely holds enough to make it useful as a small weekend bag too. I took it home to Weymouth with me last weekend and it held plenty for two days!
What I love about the Saxon backpack from Arcido is how well designed it is. The straps fold away into a neat compartment, so you can store the bag more easily on a plane. And the whole design is sleek, neat, and simple. Plus, as with all the best backpacks, there’s an abundance of pockets. Oh, and it weighs JUST 800g – leaving plenty of carry-on weight allowance left over for your actual stuff.
Hidden Laptop Compartment
The laptop section is one of my favourite features. There’s a separate laptop compartment along the entire back of the bag – big enough for even the largest laptops. Better still, the zip folds discretely away, so that no one would even know there’s a laptop in there. And it’s super easy to access when you’re passing through airport security.
All the Pockets
The Arcido Saxon backpack has four pockets alongside the main compartment. The laptop sleeve, a small top pocket, a large front pocket, and a smaller mesh pocket inside of that.
The top pocket is discrete, but roomy despite being quite small. It’s also lined in a soft material so you could store valuables or sunglasses in there without worrying about them being scratched. The front pocket takes up the whole front section of the backpack, so you could potentially store a lot in there. Inside of it, there’s a phone sleeve, some pen holders, and small wire mesh pocket to store loose items. This is one of the most organised backpacks I’ve ever owned and I love it!
