Over the years, I’ve taken tens of thousands of photos of my travels… yet hardly any of them ever get used for anything! Recently, I’ve started looking for ways to turn my travel photos into physical souvenirs, making things like scrapbooks, photo books, and framed prints. So when ASDA Photo got in touch to ask if I wanted to review their fab photo products, I was all over it!
Since overseas travel is somewhat off the cards at the moment, I’ve been digging out boxed-up souvenirs and printing photos, filling my room up with travel memories! A couple of framed posters using my favourite travel photos seemed like the perfect addition to all that.
Printing your own photos to create posters is such a lovely way to turn your travel memories into decorations. And ASDA Photo have so many fun options for you to choose from. Here’s how I got on with using them.
This is a sponsored review in collaboration with ASDA Photo. As always, all words and opinions are my own and totally honest.
ASDA Photo Review
It’s long been possible to get photos printed in many ASDA stores, but did you know you can order them online too? This is particularly handy for digital photography as you can upload the pics straight from your computer or phone, and order prints from the comfort of your sofa!
The ASDA Photo online store is really simple and easy to use, and it’s full of fun products to help your turn travel photos into lasting memories. It’s also very user-friendly; you simply drag-and-drop your photos into the project, position them, and click “add to basket”.
Quick, easy, and fully customisable (you can create layouts or add text if you like). The only tricky bit was choosing which photos to print!
Natura Framed Poster Print
I ordered two of the Natura Framed Poster Prints in 16″x24″. Natura is the name of the frame style, it’s a gorgeous, dark walnut wood. There are also pine, white, and green-gold frames to choose from, but I prefer a dark frame.
Our framed poster prints are made using UV resistant inks, on premium semi gloss paper for optimal colour vibrancy.

My order arrived much quicker than I was expecting, and the photos were framed and ready to hang, complete with a white-coloured mount and all the necessary fittings. It was nice to take them straight out of the box and get them on the wall with no faff!
My ASDA Photo Prints
So the important thing is the quality, right? I’m happy to report that everything was tip-top in that respect!
I was particularly pleased with the colour reproduction. You just need to glance at my Insta feed to see that I love colourful travel photos, and I picked two of my favourite bright snaps to bring some of that colour into my home – a stunning sunset in Udaipur, India and Mt Arenal in La Fortuna, Costa Rica! So I was really happy that the prints came out with rich, vibrant colours that looked just as good as the digital versions did on my screen.
The frames are really good quality too, and everything looks so professional I can hardly believe I took these pictures!
The only thing I would say is that you’ll probably need pretty high-quality photos for prints of this size. I shoot in RAW in a high resolution, so mine came out nicely – but if you’re working with a smaller camera or a phone camera you might have to limit what size poster you order. Luckily, the ASDA Photo online creator tool warns you if an image is low quality.
Other Products from ASDA Photo
As I mentioned before, ASDA Photo have loads of fun products to help you turn your travel photos into something a bit more physical. You could put together a photo book to commemorate a special trip, or order a bunch of prints and get scrapbooking. Or, you can get creative with some clip-art to add some graphics to a photo collage, creating your very own poster!
There are also some more quirky options which would make great gifts. For instance, personalised photo cushions, mugs, tea towels – even jigsaws! You can EVEN get your photos printed onto your very own face mask!

Great review and you mention that the photo editor tells you if it is low quality, however no where can I find the maximum file size or maximum pixel ratio. All I keep getting is “error your photo will not be uploaded”. Some guidance both in this article and on the Asda website would be nice!
As far as I know there is no maximum file size – I used 15MB files at around 6000px and had no issues. Have you tried using a different browser? Or checking your internet’s upload capacity?
There is an email address for customer support listed on ASDA’s site, so it might be worth asking them: [email protected]
Hope you manage to get it sorted :)
