Dulcie
Where: Quantock Hills AONB (near Nether Stowey)

If you’re a fan of more unusual glamping properties, this adorable red wagon in the beautiful Somerset Quantock Hills AONB is PERFECT.
Dulcie is a historic, traditional Burton wagon, or Vardo, that’s been beautifully restored to create a romantic little bolthole. There’s a log burner and a cosy raised double bed to keep you warm and comfy, and lots of cute, colourful furnishings to create a truly special experience.
Opposite the wagon, you’ll find a small wooden hut housing a roomy kitchenette and a bathroom. And it’s all situated in a quiet corner of a working farm, surrounded by unspoilt green pastures.
Spend your evenings cooking an alfresco meal on the BBQ, or cosy-ing up by the outdoor firepit beneath the starry skies. Absolute glamping perfection.
Coombe Lodge
Where: Quantock Hills (near Nether Stowey)
What: Log Cabin

If you’re heading to Somerset with a larger group, this spacious log cabin is the ideal glamping option. You’ll find Coombe Lodge on a working farm in a peaceful corner of the Quantock Hills – perfect for escaping it all!
With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open-plan living area, this beautiful Scandinavian-style lodge is great for families and groups. The main bathroom even features a bath – an unusual luxury for a glamping property.
But the best bit? Not only does Coombe Lodge come with its own private hot tub – but there’s also a Scandinavian-style sauna. So this really is next-level glamping!
Shepherd’s Huts with Hot Tubs in Somerset
Lamb’s Tale Shepherd’s Hut
Where: Quantock Hills
What: Shepherd’s Hut
Sleeps: 2 | Dogs welcome
Shepherd’s huts are one of the most popular glamping options, and when you catch a glimpse of the Lamb’s Tale Shepherd’s Hut in Somerset it’s easy to see why.
This is a gorgeous, hand-crafted hut that really takes glamping to a whole new level. Think king-sized bed with memory foam mattress, beautiful cream-painted wooden furnishings, and a hardwood floor.
Keep things cosy with a log burner, a heated towel rail, AND underfloor heating. There’s even WiFi and a flat-screen TV – not something you can expect to see in most glamping huts.
Oh – and like all the shepherd’s huts in this post, Lamb’s Tale has its very own private hot tub. Turn on the bubbles, pour yourself a glass of something sparkly, and get ready to unwind!
You’ll find the Lamb’s Tale and Duck’s Puddle (up next) shepherd’s huts on the same working farm. So groups can travel together, but still enjoy a bit of privacy.
Duck’s Puddle Shepherd’s Hut
Where: Quantock Hills
What: Shepherd’s Hut
Sleeps: 2 | Dogs welcome
On the same farm as the property above, but in its own private spot, Duck’s Puddle Shepherd’s Hut is another beauty.
Again, you can expect a seriously stunning home-from-home retreat. And again, there’s a king-sized bed, cosy log-burner, underfloor heating, heated towel rails, WiFi, and a TV and DVD player.
Thow open the huge double doors in the morning for an almost-alfresco breakfast, revelling in the splendour of the surrounding countryside. Speaking of al-fresco dining, there’s also a BBQ and firepit in your private garden area – as well as a little patio with table and chairs.
And to top it all off – your own private hot tub, perfect for starry nights in the Quantock Hills!
Collie
Where: Near Glastonbury
What: Shepherd’s Hut
Sleeps: 2 | Dogs welcome
Collie is a charming wood-clad shepherd’s hut, located on a working farm a short drive from the famous village of Glastonbury and nearby Tor.
This is a truly beautiful glamping location in Somerset – with loads to do nearby. And the accommodation itself is the stuff of dreams. The hut has a lovely fresh, Scandi-style design, and boasts a surprising amount of space.
All the home comforts are there: a roomy, well-equipped kitchenette, king-sized bed (with an amazing view from the windows at its foot), and a log burner for cooler nights.
Outside, there’s a large garden area with a BBQ, fire pit, and comfy sun loungers for summer days. And, best of all, a beautiful, wood-fired hot tub, perfect for watching those dreamy rural sunsets.
Lady’s Well
Where: Near Weston-super-mare
What: Shepherd’s Hut
Sleeps: 2
Last, but certainly not least of the Somerset glamping properties, we have Lady’s Well. Located on the edge of the Mendip Hills AONB, this hut boasts some glorious uninterrupted views of fields, farmland, woodland, and out to sea.
It’s on a farm that’s a Site of Special Scientific Interest and was once part of the ancient Hutton Estate. You can glimpse the original manor house through the trees!
The shepherd’s hut is beautifully appointed, with cream-painted wooden furniture, and lots of lovely little touches to keep you comfy. Including a king-sized bed, underfloor heating, and a roomy kitchenette featuring an electric oven.
And outside, you can relax in the fully enclosed garden, with a deep pond fed by a natural spring. There’s a BBQ and firepit to make the most of this gorgeous space, as well as a private hot tub – complete with MP3 player fitting so you can enjoy a relaxing soak while listening to your favourite music.
Wherever you choose to go glamping in Somerset, you’re sure to have a lovely, peaceful escape. There’s plenty to do nearby, so check out some of my other posts for some inspiration…
